With great potential growth and vast amount of new projects, very small portion of engineers in R&D. Most importantly, lots of other companies are using performance based RIF instead of massive layoff now a days. I don't know why he still wants to kick his followers out suddenly? There are also many great companies out there as an example. The PIP is needed a better way. We recently hired so many unqualified/under-leveled person, I can tell those will be managed out in about 1-2 years if they could not catch up with our original pace. I also agree this is slow, but you have to give people enough longer time to learn and digest.
Tesla is never safe with Elon as CEO.
Tesla went from a start up to be 3-4x Toyota market cap, and have the Model Y being the #1 car in some important markets with Elon as CEO. Wtf are you talking about.
Business success doesn’t mean employee will necessarily thrive there
Lmao
if u got a good manager and they value u, u got nothing to worry about
Got you. I know what I am going to do.
If you feel like its one life and do nothing but contribute for well being of human race Fuck your life and just love work. It is the place for you
Every one lives once right, who can live twice? I really want to fuck my life, I just don't want to be fucked off.
You perform, innovate! you stay period
Op is prob the funniest person. Asking if its safe ?? 😂
Thanks for laughing. I am dumb.
I think it’s safe. I have a teammate who hasn’t been fired or even put on a PIP after being a dumbass for a year
haha, yeah. I really appreciate those constructive comments from Tesla employee. I don't care about those dumbass comments from other companies.
Do you like 5 days in the office? When those offices don’t even have enough furniture, desks, or rooms for employees? That’s what it’s like right now. People are forced to badge in just to have no workspace. Not recommended.
I do like 5+ days at work, doesn't have to be at office but at office you can chat with other folks. I don't mind those furniture, food, desk, no enough wash room etc. I like his rockets, autopilot projects, robotics etc. You just think it is a start-up, what you can get? you never image a start-up should survive in 1-2 years. But my point is still, you need to work with your people. They are your warriors. Randomly kicking out people really cannot make me buy-in.
Hey man if that’s the environment you’re seeking, go for it. It’s tough there in Fremont right now, and employees are not happy at all. Good luck.
