Blackberry is an example of a revolutionary tech product that completely changed the world. But then what happened: BB failed in new product innovation and ignored what was happening in the market. They thought their product was so superior nobody would switch . How could anyone not want a physical keyboard ? Look at Tesla , very similar. Plain , ugly cars with no recent innovations. Build quality is dropping fast and FSD is a beta product. There have been no new models , the Y is just a larger 3 . Zero innovation, sound familiar ? There is nothing in the pipeline, as Cybertruck is years delayed and Semi is niche and neither product will really move the needle Look at Rivian , Ford with F-150 and Mach-E and BYD is crushing it in China with cool new models and lower prices Was this year peak Tesla ?

What? It's hard to understand you with Elon's dick in your mouth
Not sure if Tesla is heading the blackberry rout. But, it ain’t gon be easy when all the big guys are fully up to speed with their EV models.
I actually think the big guys will take a breather because of this. They are ridiculously stubborn, particularly the Germans and Japanese.
The big guys will have to spend billions to enter the EV game at volume. Every EV sale will cannibalize their profits from ICE products. Profits will drop. Pure EV plays don’t have that weight hanging around their necks. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
You also forgot about Motorola and Nokia and many other big electronics companies Though the thing is mobile phones industry is very different from car industry.
Many of your opinions are just that, opinions. Quality is increasing as really it could only go up. Giga Berlin and Austin are producing good vehicles. I own both a Y and a Mach E. The Mach E is good, but I prefer my MYP by a mile. And the extended range Mach E is the same price. And most of Tesla’s improvements are OTA updates. Tesla is still a good product, but if your point that their first mover advantage is slipping, then yes I’d agree.
> Quality is increasing as really it could only go up. Chrysler says the same shit.
I preferred the latest Blackberry when the original iPhone came out as well Yes - this is all about first mover advantage- Tesla has it , but is squandering it with nothing innovative on the horizon
Tesla = all other car makers combined
And that’s the problem - Tesla is an automotive company
Tesla bear here, but I just wanted to say the semi isn’t niche. Trucking is a MASSIVE industry
It is niche for two reasons: because they are not going to make enough of them to satisfy the trucking industry. will need 5-7 years minimum for independent truckers to buy one . Most truckers own their own truck and convince them to buy an electric semi for $200K is going to be tough Better way to say it , will have negligible impact on revenue and earning a
You make some really excellent points and I consider myself corrected. I can tell you’ve put a lot of effort into your due diligence.
