So something definitely changed with the way Twitter serves ads since the acquisition - it appears that every two posts in my feed is now is a promoted video post from some random advertiser, and before that video post plays an unskippable pre-roll ad from a different advertiser plays. Is it just me or are they doing some really janky things here in a last ditch effort to artificially boost CPMs? Do advertisers just build margin for this into the budgets of their campaigns?
Glad to know that a random incel engineer at Microsoft is so advanced in their profession that they can tell Musk how to do his job. Microsoft is making out like a bandit paying you 🥜 for your level of skill
Incel? Excuse me ser, your father and i are in a deeply loving relationship and i throw it back on him until he sees god EVERY NIGHT 😤 you are grounded mister go to your room!!
Are you up for a 3some , sir ?
Inb4 Musk stans/shills flood the thread:
oRanGe Man BaD!!!! MUsK iS eViL!!!!!
My favorite part is that I didn’t even mention the Muskrat’s name in my post? I might even find him funny for all they know! I’m just asking a question as a poor indie dev that runs ads sometimes. Definitely don’t want to do a promoted tweet if my game clip is going to get missed by two pre-roll ads (especially if I pay for the Promoted Tweet impression despite video runtime…)
Wow, check out the Elon fanboys defending this. 🤣🤣
Not a Elon fanboy but this is not defrauding.
The disclaimer is genuine. The inference is gold.
If I get billed for video impressions that never occurred? If cost to serve went up a few percent points but your conversion rate stayed flat you’re telling me you wouldn’t raise an eyebrow?
Man, the classic adception I load up YouTube to watch a new movie trailer (ad). I scroll past numerous ads to load the ad I wanted to see. Before I can watch the ad I wanted to watch, I have to sit through a different ad for something else, with ads all around the video player, and a list of ads pops up after it's done. I decide to watch the movie, and have to scroll past tons of ads while buying my ticket, there are ads on all the roads on the way to the theater, the theater is plastered with ads, and the movie starts with a bunch of ads. There are ads built into the movie for various products. Somehow it's been proven to people with money that every single one of these ads was turning a profit..
it weird to watch people invested so much in strangers 😂
