Doesn’t unlimited PTO just mean that the company reduces its legal liability and doesn’t have to pay you for unused PTO when you leave?
Depends on your manager honestly I take multiple long weekends sometimes in the same month
My company(a startup) has unlimited pto and minimum time off of 15 days/yr that you have to take.
Depends imo. I take 30/yr at my current gig with unlimited so I’m happy with that versus having 20/yr with payout. If I only had 20 I’d never get a payout anyways cause I’d use it all. Realize it totally depends though and people can have very bad experiences with unlimited.
Yeah it's amazing in my opinion. Can take a couple of weeks off per quarter without any concerns.
Wow. At what company or type of company (if you don’t want to share the name). That is great.
I’m Microsoft and same, I think they are too
Also long weekends anytime too.
Scam. Give me a proper 3-day weekend.
My team in Azure takes way more vacation than typical! Some take 2 weeks-3 weeks at a time multiple times per year then Fridays for weekend trips
It's a scam. If they truly mean it let them allow employees take 30 days off PTO and truly cut 20% of the workload.
Depends on the Manager and how you use it. I like to travel and I dont have to worry about my leave counter. I end up taking more leaves than the average person so I really like it.
The average person is the key.
Mostly scam except for a few really chill places that genuinely are cool with you taking months off per year
It reminds me one of my friends who moved to Belgium… 60 days PTO 😂😂😂 and unlimited sick days.
