I'm in the same boat and happy with working in cisco in many ways. I understand people who don't like cisco though. I had quite a lot of salary increase and i really like my manager. I decided to leave because of career growth concerns I had but so far I couldn't get offer from companies better than cisco. I should also mention that perks are also very very useful for me such as daycare and Lifeconnections.
Honestly feel work is not challenging enough and pay is not motivating enough to carry on the mundane work. Also lack of appreciation to the engineering level. All the execs and senior management seem very happy and well compensated but somehow it never trickles down to the actual engineer.
I came from low (underpaid) TC so I'm pretty happy. May jump ship for higher pay eventually.
