I’ve been chasing a promo since i joined Block but i wonder if it’s better to get better at interviewing and continue to prep slowly as i work to make a jump instead of internal promotion. For context i’m L4, i’m not sure if it varies depending on how senior you are. TC: 240K
A senior once told me don’t chase titles, chase money.
This is the way. Titles are meaningless.
I’ve been thinking the same thing honestly.
Chasing promo was a big mistake for me at least. Could've gotten a new job and 50% more TC. But instead worked day and night and got 10% + shit ton more responsibility
Thanks for sharing.
Depends on why you want to be promoted. If you’re looking to have greater impact and manage projects/people + make more money then yes, work on being promoted. If you just want to make money, then switch often. If you want to do neither, coast. You’ve made it.
Statistically, yes

Why is it so G*damn difficult to move money out of India
Why not both? It's not like it's that easy to move around like it was before. As long as you're not going out of your way for one or the other, then just take whatever comes first
