Is it easier for women to get a job as compared to men at FAAMG?
depends on the company¿
Even among FAAMG? Care to elaborate?
oh, FAAMG wasn’t a typo 🥴
I’ve seen it first hand at Apple. Where we automatically rejected male candidates and only interviewed female candidates and extended an offer to those who were less than stellar. I expressed my unhappiness to the hiring manager but he insisted that this was being pushed by upper management😡.
Isn't this against equal opportunity employer's definition? I'm assuming Apple is equal opportunity employer.
That's what happens when you give HR bonus based on how many women they hired.
Definitely Amazon , Microsoft, Google I have observed it every where
Here the thing at Google (my precious place). They hire a bunch of women contractors, they give full time women partly-fake direct reportees. That’s how they can claim they have a lot of women and women managers. It’s easy to find a contract job as a woman. It’s super hard to find FTE job, especially of non engineering type (PM, PR, etc).
Contractors don't count as employees, by definition.
There are many kinds of contractors. Some do. Also, full time employees with a bunch of contractors are now managers, who don’t know how to manage people. This sucks.
SAP makes random executive positions to make it seem like there are more women executives. We had a “chief learning officer” for a long time. Nobody knew what she did.
That too if a woman looks remotely decent... Her hiring chances go up tenfold

What the fuck
Happens all the time at shitter, ops sorry i meant twitter.
Easier to get an interview; not to get hired.
