I feel my boss has that question lately, and he is suspicious over me. What are the ways a boss can find out if his team member is looking for opportunities outside ? How about LinkedIn ? If we are active in LinkedIn, we get lot of calls, which means recruiters are notified ? If that’s the case will my boss get that notification too ? TC:140

If your manager has a negative reaction to you looking externally they are not that great of a manager. Looking externally is natural and your manager should hopefully seek to understand your motivations. People don’t stay forever at a job, it’s not a bad thing for someone to pursue another opportunity.
Decrease in day to day engagement.
