Is it a shitty thing to do for companies to rescind accepted offers?

They need to provide a higher amount of severance to those who have given the notice.
It completely fucks people over when companies do that.
Candidates renege, how is this different?
The damage to an individual’s life is far more severe than to a cooperation the other way.
Rescinding offers is an awful practice. If anyone is looking to join a growing team at amazon, consumer security is hiring like crazy. Will move fast.

Yeah it's shitty and I was one of the affected 😔 😕 😞 but they would had laid me off if they're going as far as rescinding. At least I get a generous 2 months severance. Heads up and keep applying. Also I'll take referrals if you're looking for a new grad 0 yoe. US Citizen
Next time I interview at any company that has a rep for rescinding offers, Im asking for double the TC I’m expecting. And probably using those for warm up.
And accept the offer then renege it
Overemployed is the only way to be! This is just another reason to never trust companies.
