I am interviewing at Paypal for a Technical PM role and I am wondering if it is safe to move to Paypal at this point in time. Are there layoffs happening at Paypal now? I am working at Zoho at the moment. TC: 18.5 LPA (excl. bonus) Bonus: 3.75 LPA last year YOE: 6.5 years (5 as PM, 1.5 as non-PM)
PayPal already mentioned about cost cutting measures which would save roughly around 900million $(google for more details ) and given that hiring wasn’t too aggressive,I don’t think they would do layoffs anytime soon
With market pressures and stock performance, I’ve heard a lot of internal talk about layoffs as a lever for cost cutting. What that means is probably moving jobs to lower cost regions (India) or even eliminating some roles/capabilities
From what I can tell, the org that I am interviewing for has been fairly new and had some sort of reorg recently and hence the hiring in India. Offer hasn’t been given yet but I have completed my last round with a senior director yesterday.
Hey Zoho, mind sharing which org is that?
