Is it strange to send a Bday Card ?

Hello All, A couple of months back while looking out for an alliance in matrimony website ( Indian dating websites for marriage ) . I met a girl and we bonded really well. I must admit this was the first time, I was attracted to someone just because of our conversation and not by looks. But fate, the horoscopes did not match and the girls dad wasn't interested proceeding further. We continued our conversations still for a couple of months and then it faded with time. But I still keep in touch maybe now once a month with a Hi. Is it strange to send her a bday Greeting card? ( How do I know her b-day? -> Because we exchanged horoscopes) I know this might sound lame at times where relationships are so advanced.
