Is it worth mentioning I’m a DS content creator during interview?

Two years ago I created my own YouTube channel and Instagram profile, where I share content/resources/solve Data Science problems — Long short story: it has been growing consistently, reaching ~30k followers. I started actively interviewing with some FAANGs. Should I mention this personal project on my resume? Is it worth bringing it up during the interview? Or shall I avoid talking about it? Thanks a lot!

YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY DO! For a plethora of reasons: It's amazing that you have a 30K followers Youtube/Ig channel where you share your knowledge. You show entrepreneurship, pedagogy, and creativeness all in one go! It shows that you're willing to share your knowledge. I saw it in a candidate that we had and was positively impressed by it. Ps: Comments saying “no” might be just envious people, I personally consider it’s an amazing way to show off your soft skills which are hard to get in the DS/ML industry.

When they give you a problem in the interview, refer them to your channel! Or perhaps even they are learning from it
