Got an offer for Android Engineer position from Square (Block). Given the economic downturn rn, is it risky to join a company that's barely making profits? TC: 260 #bloc #square
Square is hoarding android engineers fir the past 2 years and will likely lay them off in droves first
Definitely not hoarding - we struggled to fill our open Android roles last year
Still trying to fill more roles than you need, it is going to be rough for thise peeps later
What is your offer and level at square?
L5, TC is pretty much the same but they are fully remote.
Can you tell us what the offer breakdown is? (Base, stocks, bonus, etc)
Gonna be a triangle soon bruh
idk
Absolutely join! Our Android teams are fucking awesome 😎
Remember Twitter is still working after so much downsizing. And Twitter and Block were owned by the same management not too long ago. I expect cuts

what is the reason to leave your company? 🤣 i guess its risky, just my personal opinion
Hate it here
no guarantee you will not hate the new company 🤔 i think its better to stay or try to change the team/manager ~ i'm personally just dont like to take a risk in this current situation.
Definitely not safe
