Is systems software a neglected discipline, or becoming obsolete? Does it pay much less than web/cloud, and if so why?
What companies pay well for systems software? Besides the obvious NVIDIA and AMD? Systems software meaning kernel, embedded, upper layer networking software, something backend interfaces to that is homegrown, etc
