I know it’s impossible to predict, but if you are knowledgeable and have an opinion I would love to hear it.
Global growth seems to be increasing. Main risk is probably war in Asia or Brexit chaos
With the positive tax shock that is expected to hit the economy, the market will run up some more in 2018. Pending any large scale disaster like war erupting tie market may not slow down anytime soon. We are already seeing no tech sectors like real estate, transports etc perking up which seems to indicate the beginning of another bull run. Will be interested to hear other perspectives here.
I agree, I expect the run to continue in 18, I am a little skeptical about 2019. The tax breaks should bolster most major corporations.
I'm thinking we're good until the 2021/2022 timeframe. I'm thinking it'll take 3-4 years to get another really good bubble going in the global financial sector. I have absolutely nothing to base that on though.
There’s usually a major market drop around 15 yrs-ish. We should be good for a while. Borrowing money is almost free at this point, so take that loan
In 2001 and 2008, I could really feel it. 2001 was because anything with .com or .net would get crazy valuation. In 2007/08 was those crazy housing bubbles with 0 down, interest only payments with ppl with bad credits owning multiple home. This time, I only see crypto currency mainly people are on it without knowing what it is. I thought maybe 2019?
Given your experience do you think we are at the top for crypto? How likely is it to continue?
Crypto isn't big enough to crash wall street just yet..
Some type of space waves destroying every digital bit stored on both magnetic and silicon based media would be the scenario. Curse of the ghost particle - starting Will Smith!
I think a strong correction will happen 11/6 after the GOP get pounded in the ass during midterms. But that’s about as far as I’m going to dip my feet into the prediction business.
That’s my prediction as well.
If you think they are going to get hammered, you aren’t reading a balance of news on both sides. I’m very worried about the midterms. What do we have on policy? DACA? The republicans have the economy, tax breaks and businesses giving out raises and bonuses voluntarily. People may get mad over things like Trump’s racism but at the end of the day, security and economic prosperity are what drive people to vote the way they do. I expect us to get clobbered in the midterms.
We are in one of the longest bull markets ever, it is coming...BUT you need a catalyst similar to the housing crisis to kick off the meltdown. Currently I think cryptocurrencies or student loan debt have the most potential to crash in some fashion causing panic and in turn the start of a bear market. War or government surprise also have potential. The ‘why’ is much more valuable then the ‘when’ IMO. As you can avoid or bet against a why, when is impossible to get exactly as you mention...
Nevermind. No one would believe me if I told you. Pearls before swine.
