Husband lost his job 6 months ago, still in the market. Not sure if the market is getting worse or better. Losing hope everyday. Taking it one day at a time but it’s easy to feel lost. What’s the opinion on the current job market?
It's been bad for the past three years
It’ll get worse, unemployment rate already ticking up
There's a chance he won't end up finding a job anytime soon
Thanks!
Thanks for kind words
Tech is bad, general economy good, tech slowly getting better I hope, or is it just seasonality?
No I think it's getting better. Same time last year was horrible
Hope he finds one soon, I'm also searching for the past one month, I feel his pain, How is capital one
Same here. Over a year in the market in the same field. Feeling hopeless 😔 but, still trying and keep interviewing.
Lots of questions Yoe? Location? Is he tied to any specific location? The biggest slowdown has been in Bay area. If you're willing to move out , there might be more chances. I would recommend that your husband create a routine, balancing job applications and prep. I do think it's a numbers game. I'm firmly in the spray and pray camp, although I know there are people who prefer networking.
5 yoe Open for relocation. We are in the Midwest. Not tied to it either. Mainly visa issue, he doesn’t have his h4-ead yet. Has his H1 but had to convert due to job loss.
