We are seeing an increase in tech jobs moving to india. Recent google layoff affect india office the least, with the argument that the labor there is cheap. However if a company leadership is indian, then this is a lot more likely to happens. Part of me feel like the massive placement of indian ceos in big tech somehow involves indian government backing. Itās obviously not a coincidence that another indian ceo just took the place of recently resigned youtube ceo. Once indian leadership is everywhere especially the big techs, then they can all move jobs to india (doesnāt matter whether or not the local labor qualifies or not). How realistic is this?
Cheap destination. That's the only reason. Nothing else. Either go deep in your work or get replaced by someone in India. India still dependant on high skill manufacturing. Air India just ordered Boeing jets which will give employment to around 1 million as per Biden.

It could be the side effect, but it was not planned
It is planned by the US
No way, they mostly care their šŖ nothing else.
India is not China. People donāt even agree with each other on solutions to basic problems. Thereās no way the government is orchestrating this. Itās just the result of having good communication skills, being able to navigate politics and being book smart.
Itās the west and well known. All US companies are leaving China going to India for manufacturing as requested by US govt.
India always kills itself by ripping off foreign investors. No worries š
Indians in US are equally burnt by tech jobs moving to india. Unfortunately corporates need more profit with low costs. Perils of capitalism :)
Yes, just like Trump backs adani
I honestly donāt think that is the case. I am Indian, now American. My loyalties heavily lie on the side of the US. If Sundar or Satya or any one of the Indian origin American CEOs are following Modi, that is as good as treason and should be punished. I think jobs are moving to india because cheap labor, motivated people, abundance of people that can be trained. Innovation will always stay in the US. In my opinion the best model is going to be where North America innovates, and once productionalized, send it to india.

'Hindutva': The Radical Hindu Ideology That Seeks to 'Push Christianity Out of Indiaā
They will do anything theyāre told to do. No big ideas, no risk taking, no ideological convictions. Just total and complete ass kissing of shareholders
Iāve known plenty of Indians in tech who are very type-A personalities. More so then white guys.
What is type-A?
