Is working at nest = working for Google (alphabet)?

Had several recruiters ping me from Nest on LinkedIn. Is working for nest the same thing as working for Google in terms of interviewing bar? Are employees free to internally move to other companies in alphabet from nest? What's the culture like at nest? Same benefits, pay, perks?

Dont get the reference. Please humor me and elaborate ...

I think the reference is to the brow beating CEO stepping down last week.

Nest uses their own recruiting team, tools/database, and process. If their recruiters reach out to you there's no way anyone in Google would know unless they told us BC it's a diff "Bet". Im unsure of the subtle differences in interviews but the "bar" is definitely different, not necessarily easier or harder.

I've heard bar is much easier via nest. My friend joined nest and then in a few months switched to a diff google team

Interesting backdoor strategy.

the bar is lower, a few people I know got into google using the nest route

NEST nerf = disgusted. I'm never buying because of your douchebag move, it's disgusting and you should be ashamed of yourself. My grandma still has an actual old school round thing that you modeled yours to resemble "faux modern, yes yes, how very Applé of you". Hers still works, and she, well she's dead now. But seriously... you just severely fucked our industry over with that dick move

Nest V1 servers were turned off rendering Nest V1 into a brick. Like, go to home depot and replace it cause it don't work no more
