I heard DoorDash and Uber started to fire at will since 2023. Neither performance nor pip is needed. 😃 Very good. Now employments really means nothing. It seems only Google and Meta are happy employers.
Between those 4 companies only?
How is rippling? I have an offer
I just read a reddit thread about how some intern won’t return since WLB sucks and his manager was balding from stress lol
You are welcome.
No lol
Meta?
We were always fire at will. The only difference is that attrition is super low due to market conditions (and stock 4x), so some fat trimming is happening
Yeah. But you guys have high tc
Ya right! What world are you in ? Google fired quite a lot , guess you didn’t see recent post on a poor soul who jumped off a building and meta fired over 20k 🤦🏽♂️ you see what you want to see, life is beyond companies !
They all received invitation back
Many of them already went back
We fire a few teams every other week. Been happening since Jan. 2023 layoffs, but became very noticeable around Sept. 2023 and onwards. We have a doc that lists all the teams impacted each week, it’s update by Googlers manually. Idk what you mean by “happy employers”. Cost cutting is very normal now everywhere.
I pleasure myself to that list as I get filthy rich from it.
Uhhh our stock price has been going up and down pretty randomly. I wouldn’t even call the slight increase in price “getting filthy rich” 💀 unless you have nearly a million in google stock already.
Meta isn’t a happy company. Probably Google isn’t either
They for sure are not.
