I’m just 28, burned out. Promo carrot always on the line, rents are increasing ever high. I live in a 650 sqft match box and have no space for furniture I like! But to rat race, I’m penny pinching and don’t think I can spend more than $2500 just on rent. Then want to buy the cheapest car, but I dream of Model S plaid. Seems like no matter what I’m living my life trying to meet the societies expectation of having a million $$$ in bank. Tired of this shit. TC: 290k Yoe: 6
Idk man you're 28 and making that much money...I think you could keep grinding and investing that along... you'll be golden
Yeah dude. It tough out here. Paying 2500/mo to live in a shoebox.
Geez… take a step back and put things into perspective. You’re fine
What compels people to comment this? A person is describing some issues, and this is your response? Please. Be better.
Agreed, people try to be edgy and end up being tone deaf, thinking they’re funny
Move to MCOL if you are in HCOL and work remote if your team/org allows it or move to a company with team hiring remote
Find a remote job, live elsewhere for a couple years. buy your Tesla and stay rich
OP what’s your net worth? Seems like you can afford these things. TC is good. Keep your head up man.
Decide yourself - happiness of Having million dollars in bank one day || sadness of living penny life in a rat race. Which magnitude is higher. Thats a simple decision. I prefer second one though
There’s more to life then greater expectations that come with each pay raise.
