Look this link https://www.usgovernmentspending.com/federal_budget_estimate_vs_actual_2017_XXbs1n#usgs302 There is a 650 billion deficit on 2017. 263 billion are just about paying interests. Somehow, citizens are scared and outraged of paying 100 billion to build a wall.
A couple years ago. I thought Obama and Democrats were a difference. Now that I understand public economy better, I see there is no true interest in helping the working force. Both parties will squeeze society as much as they can.
"We are super far in debt so why not pile 100 billion more on" - OP
Let’s not pretend we’re concerned as the last 20 years.
Is it not possible to be unhappy with the fact that we've racked up a huge debt AND we want to waste 100 more on a bullshit wall? Is it possible to argue against the wall without hearing "BUUUHHHHTTTT OBBBAAAAAAAMAAAHHHHH". Not everyone treats politics like a game of "watch me suck off my god king the hardest." Some people actually choose sides based on the issues and not party. Pretty wild concept.
666 billion deficit for 2017? That sounds ominous
The wall is permanent. It is infrastructure. It produces values by just being there. I’d rather money being put on the wall than some bullshit programs that are highly inefficient.
Value? You make it sound like we are worried about our resale value when north America trades us in to china for a new model lol
Man these alt right guys are out in full force
Lmfao. Only alt right people want a wall. At some point the left will figure out that labeling an entire facet of the political spectrum as “alt right”, “kkk” or “neo nazis” is counter productive to winning elections.
The wall, as outlined, isn’t practical. It’s primary purpose is to appease the core base of the trump/ Republican Party. There are better solutions, currently in use in multiple countries, that we could explore, but we are not. This desire to have a “big beautiful wall” is xenophobic more than it is practical and effective. With that being said, if you don’t like being aligned with the alt right, nazis, or klansmen perhaps you should reevaluate your positions. Remember, there were plenty of “good Germans” too during wwii who might not have donned the nazi uniform but none the less agreed with their positions.
It’d be far and away better than most of what feds spend money on. That’s not really saying anything, but still. Feds have to be one of the most incompetent group of people in the country.
