Jane Street - the weirdest interview ever
I had a 3rd interview with Jane Street where they haven't asked me a single question. Not a single question. So the whole interview it was me asking them questions. Rejected. W T F ??? Anyone at JS know what was this about? I am very very puzzled. Cannot sleep thinking what did I do wrong. TC: 200k

No, the recruiter did not know, he told me it's going to be a chat to find out more about the company.
That sucks man, he should have clarified the approach further or maybe he just didn’t know. Third round sounds like you were doing really well, I wonder if others had this round at Jane st as well

Ehhhh I mean They wouldn’t really have to actually interview anyone right? Typically don’t they just have a timeframe they need to accept resumes and then they can just give it to an internal candidate?

Likely already have someone that will be given the job internally …BUT have to post it to say they posted it and interviewed external candidates That sucks man. Unless they give you a reason, Say “fuck it” and look forward to the next. I don’t think you did anything wrong
