Have a first round coming up, no idea how to prepare - the mock interviews / Glassdoor questions all seem doable however most of the posts are “no offer”. How does one get hired at Jane Street ? 😅 TC: 370k YOE: 2.5 #engineering #software #hft #janestreet
It starts off with leetcode medium and then builds up from there in layers. Consider things like memory level overflows, thread locking etc as the solution scales up in input size. Good luck.
Ok.. why does Jane Street pay so much..I mean what the hell are people doing there thats so critical that they get paid like that
I mean what do people do at FAANG that warrants mid six figures for CRUD apps? The industry just has high returns per unit labor so wages are higher. JS probably makes more than double per Engineer compared to Google/Meta
Yes..I understand that ..but my question is what do people at JS do ?
When I interviewed (not SWE) it was 2x phone screen and 5x on-site loops. Coding rounds started off super simple and built up quickly on top of the starting point. Definitely the most thorough on site I’ve taken
Not SWE but you still had coding rounds?
It was still an engineering position just not software
Do they really offer 300 base and 200 bonus for 5 yoe / software profiles?
Yes. Sometimes more 😉. Check levels.fyi
Can I DM you please? Thanks!
How did it go?
Jane street 1/1
Hi @m2_chip - is JS hiring SWE?
Prepare to leave the interview in tears
