Is it common to make 200k+ with this stack or is it more likely to be in the 100k range.
It’s used in 95% of backend roles and it’s a reliable way of building backend systems. The compensation is most likely not related to the tech stack but probably rather the complexity of the domain/problem space you are you working in.
Yeah true. Do they use it at Grubhub?
Yes
You can definitely make 500k+ with that stack
It really depends upon which company you are targeting. Consulting companies: 100k to 200k FinTech/Faang: 200k+ depending upon your level.

I may be biased but I've never seen a good resume with spring on it
Most people don’t want to learn Java/Spring because it’s not new and exciting. What do the good resumes have? Maybe I should pick up another stack in my free time.
I've seen plenty of good Java resumes. My impression of Spring in particular is that its a kind of simplified framework for building well defined standardized apps, probably writing less code and more xml. I've never used it, but I've interviewed many good Java developers. When I interview spring developers they usually can't actually write any decent code.
