Covid has wiped me out and I’m exhausted as a working parent. I still need to work because I need health insurance and a paycheck to pay bills. Looking for companies where you can coast and take it easy. Specifically in DE management roles. My current role is too high strung and my manager thinks the world is ending every week. (It’s not. We are responsible for reporting. It’s not that serious.) I’m assuming places like Verizon or P&G or other larger corporate settings? My current role is managing the one DE team internally and our tech team is maybe 70-80 people. A startup that grew. TC - $230k base, no bonus, $6-$10k stock annually (yes the company is public) #Hiring #career #manager #dataengineer #easy
Push for fully remote IC positions with no bullshit facetime culture. Crypto is an option, all they do is tweet bullshit all day (since a lot of them don't have families to take care of) nobody has any serious work to do in crypto companies.
big banks, if u come from a tech company they are willing to offer a high base.
Varian Medical. The engineers I know are fucking duds. They have remote work options as well. Good benefits. Salary is below market rate, but you can always take a small side gig. I’m leaving because I’m ambitious and this place is a joke. I know of entire engineering teams that do jack shit.
come to capital one
Agree, join any bank.
Microsoft, Google or banks.
How to find a Microsoft job that lets you work from the East Coast instead of Washington? Also yea I’d love Google but how the heck do you even get that role.
Banks, Slalom Build. But you might take a hit on TC
Thanks everyone. These are all good ideas.
One of the big telecoms but TC may not be competitive
