Join YC company with pay cut or join Lyft at higher TC and senior PM role

I'm a product manager in Toronto and will likely get an offer for a Product Manager role at a series A YC company for 115k,10% bonus+ stock options. I am interviewing final rounds for Lyft Senior Product Manager role in Toronto as well. I am anticipating a much higher base and overall TC if I get it. The YC company has initially released one product that has been wildly successful and are working on expanding very rapidly. My gut says YC company for the growth opportunity, but open to hearing the other side or if people agree. -YC potential to grow a lot, but huge pay cut. -Lyft is a tech giant and higher TC and solid company YOE: 4 (all startup experience) TC 190k CAD #productmanagement #lyft #ycombinator #product

Need more details of the YC company. How much have they raised? Most recent valuation? Burn rate? ARR growth? What space? How much % are they offering you? Profit margins?

If you are financially stable then take the YC company. If not take the lyft offer.

Lyft senior PM with 4 YOE in product is an insane offer. It will not come again. What’s the TC for Lyft in Canada by the way ?

YC is not what it used to be anymore. I know 3-4 YC companies founder, not all ideas are that bright

If (<1% chance) the startup successfully exits, you can expect to 10x of the option value. Does it worth it? If option worth 10mil, you could potentially looking at 100mil, only possible with startup. But if it’s like ~100k range, you can make it at lyft
