Joining Adobe

Hello, I resigned my job and I'm joining Adobe in July. I've been reading a lot of posts about offers being rescinded at tech companies. This making me really anxious. Is Adobe a safe company to join? Have they laid off people before? Or is there a history of offers being rescinded? How's the job security? TC : 180K

Sorry mate. You will have to live with this anxiety till the first day you join at Adobe.

Don’t think so Adobe is that bad with business. Wait for 16th for the earnings.

I saw the earning, it isnt too bad. What do you think?

Cognizant PC-TC Jun 17, 2022

Don’t think so those are bad. Actually they beat the expectations. Only thing is the future earnings they kept lower than expectations. That may be by considering inflation and interest rates. Better than giving more now and not able to beat the expectations.

No guarantees but you're probably fine with Adobe.

Define “safe”. No big layoffs or reorganizations for a few years now, but who knows? I wouldn’t worry about it.

I am also on the same boat and I am on H1B. Can offer be rescinded after initiating the H1B transfer?

DoorDash ddgandu Jun 12, 2022

Yes. If people can be laid off after working for months/years then rescinding after H1B is nothing.

Are you joining this month or next? Their quarter result will be out this month

Microsoft Microraja Jun 12, 2022

I am joining on 25th July and already resigned in the current company. Please keep me updated in the same thread buddy.

What role and level OP? Adobe is a very strong company, you will be ok :)

Prosper blgv Jun 13, 2022

I haven’t heard any layoffs or offers being rescinded in the past. What role and level you are joining at?

Adobe HEON53 Jun 16, 2022

Haven't had mass layoffs for a long period of time. You may become first.
