Joining Facebook Oculus Team bootcamp
I have an offer from Facebook with the opportunity to start with Facebook 6 week bootcamp where I get to try out different teams and then choose a team. I am really interested in VR/AR and Oculus. How easy is it to get a job in this area as a software engineer. I have some Android open source platform experience and hardware experience. Are these just as easy as applying to the team? Watching, how diff is it for managers/principals?
How is that $350k? No one counts sign on into your tc. Some split it over 4 years but most just don’t count it
I think it depends on how long you stay at a company...average 2-3 yrs on average
very easy to find a team and fit based on your personal choices
So oculus teams participate in the bootcamp process? I’ve gotten mixed messages on this from recruiters. They also seem to have separate job listings
