All I see is HW Lounge and the Brocade board is still locked.

Yeah, many of the companies have their own channels but I think it's user based.

I figured other companies have their private channels. Just wondering if there were like sw , engineering, marketing, etc.

It's a mix. We've been around for quite some time. There is also a software heavy channel called "tech lounge" it's like this but a lot more active. Lots of Google, Microsoft, Yahoo people.
