Why would someone even stay in Shitaattle?

Apple i-cubed Sep 24, 2023

Non remote job. And Kirkland is mostly far from the Seattle crazies

Google DEI-Life Sep 24, 2023

Kirkland's nice af

Affirm affirmUpDo Sep 24, 2023

Either a typo or it’s the mortgage payment.

Meta rtolord Sep 24, 2023

This. Pretty sure the buyer is trying to make it cash flow.

Amazon 7^2 Sep 24, 2023

That's a pretty normal new build... Maybe they think the view is worth 14K?

Amazon hfygb OP Sep 24, 2023

They might be smoking something really good.

Microsoft Hotdog1234 Sep 24, 2023

Did you not notice the triple bunk beds on top of the two bedroom appt? 5 people could share this place. It's practically a steal when you have 4 roommates

Amazon hfygb OP Sep 24, 2023

It’s like living like poor in a Kirkland apartment. A Seattle apartment with 2000 offers better view

Amazon lRaW21 Sep 24, 2023

^what about the crime rate though

Capital One theend107 Sep 24, 2023

$6k at the most.

Intel fatheroall Sep 24, 2023

This listing would just invite armed robbers…

Microsoft jeffyapp Sep 24, 2023

I could see that getting rented for $7500 easy, $10k if there was access to the dock. I have a place down the street that rents for $6k and not as nice (similar size, decent view, not a fresh remodel, more yard). $14k is a stretch.

DoorDash RPNine Sep 24, 2023

That's a mortgage payment for a house like that. No one is going to rent it for 14k.

Apple mlmlmlmlml Sep 24, 2023

Bedrooms too few

Microsoft cHqz31 Sep 24, 2023

It sold last month for $2.1mil, and they’re already trying to rent it out. Probably trying to break even. Nice place, but not many people are ok with only 2bed house.

Microsoft bcfdiob Sep 24, 2023

That’s hilarious. In the greater Seattle area you cannot rent out a house and break even. To find a renter you have to cash flow negative several thousands of dollars a month.

Cruise uegeodbdm Sep 24, 2023

This is not true. I get positive cash flow in Greater Seattle. It’s a narrow margin though, and the rate is from the pandemic.
