I am new to the area. Moved with wife and two kids. We started looking into areas and almost all my network is saying best area for real estate is Kirkland or Bellevue. Wondering what are differences between these two places and how to pick one over the other to begin the Search 600 13
Kirkland is very overrated. The area used to be poor just a few years ago, and it will fade back again now that google headcount is frozen. Bellevue location is much better
Do you live in Bellevue?
Hahahahahaha. Kirkland was poor a few years ago? Okay. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Bellevue is pretty cool, family oriented. Downtown is small but you'll find everything you need. Clyde Hill elementary is great. Some nice, but expensive, private schools in the area too.
Clyde Hill elementary is not top ranked in Bellevue……Cherry Crest/Somerset/Medina elementary are way better. 98004 is expensive but the public elementary and middle schools are low ranked.
Lol ranking elementary schools like Universities over here
I always feel Bellevue is much better central location. Also if you can, avoid 405 at all cost.
Bellevue's got a bit of a cosmopolitan vibe, which might appeal if you're coming from a larger city. Kirkland, on the other hand, has a more laid-back, lakeside town feel, with beautiful waterfront parks and a close-knit community vibe that many families find endearing. You might also want to peek at places like Edmonds. It's a bit further north but has this serene seaside charm combined with a lively arts scene that many find irresistible. And since you’re exploring, Redmond and Issaquah are worth a gander too – great schools, green spaces, and slightly different flavors of suburban life.
Kirkland School district is better imo. Kirkland is more laid back and likely less crowded than Bellevue. Easy access to beautiful parks and lakefront is a plus in Kirkland if you have kids.
Kirkland for sure! Much better downtown and so many beach parks. Bellevue is overrated
Hunts point or Medina are pretty good, I heard!
