A lot of marketting software type of companies seem to like my resume for some reason. Just out of curiosity how would you rank these companies in terms of salary/prestige. Is there another company in this area that has around the same TC/prestige as these?
Whichever gives you the highest TC (real money not paper money). But talking prestige my prestige rank from that list: 1. Salesforce 2. MailChimp (cutest logo, owned by Intuit) 3. HubSpot 4. Klaviyo (never heard about them). Salesforce is probably tier 3. The others 4 and under.
Interesting…I personally find Klaviyo very enticing…there TC is pretty good..I know a lead with 350K TC in Boston…thats insane..even Meta E5 dont pay that much… For me its : 1 Salesforce (just cuz they are well known) 2 Hubspot (they are the 2nd largest in their space) 3 Klaviyo (TC and IPO) 4 Mailchimp
I don't work on marketing and my perception is purely based on exposure to their branding which arguably could be a good proxy for marketing companies
Klaviyo is just one of many saas GPT wrappers that will get pushed out if one of CRM or AI platform companies infringe on their space. Avoid
Mailchimp (part of Intuit, Excellent engineering going on, integration with QuickBooks creates great opportunities, great company culture) Salesforce (You are comparing an entire company that has marketing as one of their many products to others. A better comparison would be with Salesforce Marketing Cloud org) Hubspot (good for TC) Klaviyo (Competitive product, personally I do not like Boston :(

Does minimum YOE actually matter on job posts
In terms of marketing software, those are the big ones. Klaviyo has pretty decent TC especially recently after they gave a salary bump to most of the R&D org
what's the TC like for 5 years SWE?
No. Avoid Klaviyo. Separately might have had slight upside before ipo.
