I have recently received two competing offers for Machine Learning Engineer position at San Francisco 1) Salesforce LMTS - 351K TC + 20K Relocation (240K Base) 2) Meta E5 - 428K TC + 85K Sign On + Relocation (220K Base) The Salesforce offer is for Staff level, Meta offer is for Senior. Trying to get some guidance on points like Work-Life Balance, Learning opportunity, Growth, Refresher RSUs and the disparity between Staff vs Senior in the two offers. Also, would it be hard to get a team match at Meta bootcamp? I know the hiring team at Salesforce and liked them Which would you recommend and why? Current TC - 240K - 6 YOE in Data Science/ML
It is almost impossible to not get a team match at bootcamp. You will have minimum 50+ teams reaching out to you.
Long Memory Term Short?? #afewwillgetit
As predicted I did not get it :D Are you asking if I am looking at it from a long term vs short term standpoint? If yes, my focus is on medium term say 4 year period
Under appreciated lol I see you wlb
Congrats! Meta is much better offer imo. How was your prep for meta? All lc tagged questions ?
I tried doing about 150 from the last 6 months' tags. Some questions were out of that range. But, it turned out okay
Common for pmts from salesforce to get E5 offers. Meta E5 isn’t so bad, take it.
Lmts == E5, plus salesforce has no regular stock refresh. Take E5 for sure, even if salesforce lmts offer you 50k more.
That helps. Thanks
Not sure why this is even a question :). Also, LMTS is not staff, its equivalent to E5.
That's good to know.Thanks. I guess the WLB is primarily on my mind
I have seen plenty LMTS offers in 400-450k range so you can ask for higher comp if you haven’t already
