Hi rich folks of the blind community. I just turned 28 and suddenly feel like I don't have enough money as compared to friends my age working in big tech. I know I shouldn't compare but I'll be getting married soon and it just hit me all of a sudden that I could've done better (also doesn't help to see people's NW on here). Here's my breakdown: ~55k in stocks ~40k in retirement ~35k in bank ~5k crypto I started my career 3 years back and still working at the same startup. Saved and invested aggressively for the first year and half. The company has started my green card process so I won't be switching anytime soon. Any tips how I can/could've done better? Current TC: $120k + equity(paper value). Rent: $2400 - California :')
I am sort of on the same boat as you in terms of age experience and savings
And are you happy with your current financial state?
Wth? Why are you worried about money at 28? I was still eating mud and playing with sticks at 28 and now I'm just fine. Life is long, it's not a sprint, no need to run yourself down and devoid your life of joy. Take it easy and be kind to yourself. You're clearly a very financially responsible person and are doing great. You will be fine.
When I was 28, I was just about to go through a divorce that would leave me a ten-thousandaire. You're fine.
I just turned 28 too and the comments here sure made me feel better.
you live in California , get used to that feeling brudda
At 28 I still owed 20,000 in student loans. Many people even over the age of 30 have a NEGATIVE net worth. Chill
