Laid off startup founder just broke 100k/month topline

Not posting this to brag or flex (as I still have a long way to go) but moreso as motivation for anyone who has an itch to be an entrepreneur. In Jan I was laid off from a company I had been loyally working at for 8 years (I was 30 yrs old). I had consistently delivered in my revenue generating role, but I wasn’t aligned with leadership- and when time came for layoffs I understood why I was chosen. When I was laid off I felt if I was ever going to take a chance building my own dreams, now would be the time. I decided to spend 16 hours a day creating a financial services offering for diy artists/musicians that I could run from my laptop anywhere in the world. 8-9 months later I just broke my first month collecting 6 figures of royalties on behalf of 20+ clients (as proof of concept) and am setting up capabilities to scale to hundreds more. I’m solving a very niche problem for people who are super grateful for my services. The business can grow with a remote team and I can run it from wherever I feel like living. Despite the stress that naturally comes with launching a startup, ive never been happier or felt more fulfilled. This is your sign to chase your own dreams! #startup
