I'm moving to US soon and want to take my electric guitar and an amplifier with me. Has anybody travelled with such items on an international flight? Do they even allow it? Is it allowed on US bound flights? Guitar: Epiphone Les Paul Standard Amp: Marshall https://marshall.com/marshall-amps/products/amps/mg-gold/mg30fx
Yea shouldn't be a problem.ive travelled with an Xbox before
You should check with your airline
Will do. Have you seen anyone travel with such items to US?
Traveled with an acoustic in a hard shell case to/from. Don't see why it would be a problem. Based on how nice the flight attendant is, they may find a place in a cabin. Mine was put into a coat cabinet of first class cabin (I had economy). But they may also ask you to check it. Amp should not be a problem either, regular baggage allowances apply.
More concerned about the amp. Do the ask to check in the guitar as well? I was planning on keeping it in the overhead bin.
I flew internationally with my 61 key keyboard in a hard case. Was charged oversize for it by Lufthansa, but had no problems. There are some airlines that don’t charge oversize for musical instruments ( I think British airways).
They allow you to keep it with you on the flights though right? I wouldn't want to check in the guitar
If the size of the guitar is within their overhead baggage size regulations, yes you’ll be allowed to. If not, no. Why’d I want to keep the keyboard with me on the flight? I checked it in.
The guitar will just be an oversized bag. But sell it and buy a new one here. You get better price and options
Don't want to sell it. Just wanted to know if it's allowed on flights to US.
