Lay offs 2024
Hey guys, I am being laid off from ebay today as 1000 employees have been cut down. What are the possible ways to keep my employment until I get my next job? Can I apply for FMLA? If so, for how long can I push it?

PayPal and eBay realized that even though they loved each other that they just lived different lives and both just needed alone time.

Laid off workers are not considered for FMLA since they are not considered as employees. Do you have a time crunch due to visa status?
apparently im already on FMLA before this event. Would that be considered?
If you are already on FMLA, I guess you are entitled for your benefits until your FMLA is over but your employment cannot be retained. Better check with your company benefits team. I don't know your situation. But if you don't have a time crunch or neck wrecking commitments, don't worry too much about the layoff right now. Make use of the FMLA time for whatever reason you took. I know it is very hard to digest this. But you will get through this.
