If your company is conducting #layoffs but also has a remote/hybrid policy has that translated into more people feeling the pressure to come into the office (e.g. to be seen, heard, kept relevant)? Or no change in behavior observed?
If the purpose of coming back makes them to be seen, heard, kept relevant, then they are at the wrong place beforehand
Ah i see what you mean
People with the type of job that requires demonstrating value where you can only do so IRL are usually the type of people that should be laid off and are the most noisy about RTO. Managers, delivery managers, scrum master, most product roles.
We were just forced, not sure if it was for layoff
Remote workers are goofing off. I'm one of them
😂 u give us a bad rep. most of us just wanna do our job remotely
Not from what I've seen. Most other remotes are goofing off. I think it worked during the pandemic bc people had to stay home anyway. But now there are too many distractions to be stuck at home. And hard to collaborate remotely
It's below my dignity to answer such a silly question
Well, @bigbull the first of his name, protector of the realm and king of Andals and the 7 kingdoms. How’s wlb @amd ? Thinking about visiting your career page
My name is a tribute to India's most optimistic investor that passed away recently. He was fondly called as big bull . About wlb at amd . It is infact more tilted towards life instead of work . Something that i don't like it that much
Yes, they also made a stupid survey which basically ask people to log how many hours in a week they go to office
At Expedia?
No @mars, yes at Expedia. If you’re < N you’ll receive it soon.
No layoffs and no RTO
What are you talking about jpmorgan is trying to bring everyone back. Only reason why they haven't laid off is because everyone keeps leaving
All big banks are forcing RTO. They’re bleeding talent by everyone leaving to go for a fully remote job so they don’t have a need to do layoffs
I don’t think we’ll be RTO anytime soon
When is Apple laying off?
I think they are forcing staff to RTO next month if I remember correctly. So they will have natural layoffs by people switching jobs to be fully remote
Time to apply at apple
No, but also our company started layoffs today
Sing the jingle at the beginning of every meeting you have that could potentially be a layoff
Wayfair's human trafficking line of business not as profitable as it used to be?
