Probably when you look at the final numbers, but there’s people from a bunch of teams affected
Mainly R&D, but people across teams were impacted
Marketing and product were also impacted.
All teams were impacted fairly equally but there’s no plan to rescind offers and are still hiring for strategic roles.
Same at Leafly, still hiring strategic roles but no layoffs yet 🤞
I saw a couple of LinkedIn posts saying 67 people were laid off. Most posting about being laid off are PMs or recruiters, but that could obviously be heavily biased.
Can confirm it was 67 across the company. What a way to completely destroy morale and trust in our leadership.
Yes, I can confirm it was just under 10% of the company, 67 employees. I was a Sr. Tech Recruiter and I know at least 2-3 others in recruiting who were laid off so far. Have also seen a few program folks posting on LinkedIn that they were laid off but they shut off our access immediately after the HR meeting to be let go that day, so we never got to find out any more about which parts of the business were impacted :) We got severance (1 month) and benefits for 2 months.
