In recent months, the industry has witnessed numerous layoffs. Unity recently let go of 1800 employees, and Twitch reduced a big chunk of its workforce. A friend of mine was laid off from Google as part of a restructuring initiative, and Meta made significant layoffs in its Instagram division. Is there a concern about potential layoffs at Zynga/T2?. It's worth noting that many of those affected by layoffs in this season were engineers. #layoffs #games #zynga #taketwo
If you look at Zynga FY results forthe past 2 years I would prepare my exit now more than ever.
I think it was mentioned on the last earnings call that Take Two was done with layoffs.
Of course there will be.
It's a good question, more gaming companies have had layoffs recently. My team is only hiring one engineer (for the past 2 months or so) and we've gotten A LOT of candidates. Shits hard out there... A lot of talented people looking for jobs (most of them laid off from tech). Zynga/T2 earnings numbers are not great. They seem to be soft from what I heard. Not surprised. So I would just be ready in case they announce something this last quarter. Good luck!
