Leaving Microsoft for startup ola
I joined Microsoft 3 weeks ago and have been put into maintenance of a product on frontend side. I have 4 yoe in backend. Other areas of project don't have openings so they put me on this side. Shall i leave ms and join startup. Will ms blacklist me. Can Microsoft release me in 3 days as my other offer expires in 3 days and how much i need to pay including relocation. Shall i wait for 3 months and start giving interviews in other teams at ms( Has anyone shifted teams just after joining, i heard we can shift after one connect which happens in dec). Don't go to Ola. I've worked with people who came from Ola and they didn't have great things to say about Ola. Do frontend for an year in MS and change teams internally
I can bet you would leave ola in a month. It's one of the shittiest culture i have heard about in india
Microsoft to Ola with pay cut?? Looks like you are new to big companies. Teams, project, situation changes quickly. Give it at least a quarter. Ola is not a once in lifetime opportunity by any means.
I like ms and for stability i joined. But somehow they gave me front end which i Never liked shall i gulp it and wait for right team to join

I know but given my current condition and present offer in hand .. i thought to take this step .. what about not learning anything in ms and leaving after six months wouldn't that make bad impression on resume
Initial 6 months anyway go in ramp up and some small projects. No one will be expecting you to do a lot in this period. Just figure out opportunities to learn and to create some small impacts within your given work which you can talk about later and keep looking in parallel (both internal and external). If you leave for Ola now you will anyway be looking for a change in next 6 months which is like 2 companies in a row which will definitely not look good in your resume.
Ola is shit hole
Stay in MS, you can try switching teams after some time. Try for goog/Adobe/akamai/Intuit if it doesn't work out.
How much is Ola offering you? Did they mention which team in Ola?

Well..when I was at Ola most devs seemed pretty frustrated all the time... Work life balance will definitely take a toll Not sure about MS
