I am planning to leave Walmart soon and I have not seen any policy internally that I need to give a certain duration of the notice period. Also, my offer letter says it's at-will employment so I can leave whenever I want. Has anyone done this before? Can Walmart sue me for not giving 2 weeks notice period? # #
You’re free to do it but you’re essentially burning bridges with the company, your manager and potentially your peers.
If it’s at-will employment, a two week notice is not required.
2 weeks notice is free paid off time, essentially u won’t do shit and still get paid.
A two week notice is a courtesy and not a requirement. You can leave your job at any moment without legal repercussions but you may damage your professional relationships by not providing it
Asking for advice on unprofessional ethics is not acceptable! You’re also creating a potential scepticism for a person joining after you.

The world is very small and is getting smaller every day - you'll probably run into people you've worked with again in the future. If you burn them now, that could very well hinder you in the future. Why turn down two weeks of free money?
I have given 2 days notice before and still maintained the good relationships. 1 day notice is fine as long you do the handover of your work properly. Document everything upfront, give your manager a handover plan. If you do it right, the number of days doesn't matter.
Just leave them without informing. Anyhow the company doesn't treat their employees well.
Oh yeah! You get my sentiments 😅
Lol, they can’t. If you don’t want to burn the bridge, give a 2 week notice. Otherwise, feel free to leave anytime you want.
