I started rencently my first FT job and I find the work environment depressing, nobody seems to socialize. Furthermore the age gap between my team members too large, I fear I will be alone and stagnate. my commutes 3 hours long (both ways). I feel like quitting. Im a new grad so I can phrase my 1 -3 month stint as an internship. Is this advisable? TC: 120k Edit: my commute is 3 hrs both ways
Move out asap, before you hit 6months.
Why 6 months matter?
The team age gap and non social aspect is fine. 3 hours long commute- now that’s just weird
Yeah all the right reasons to leave. But if an interviewer asks, just say the commute was killer. Seriously working with a bunch of old people while you're in your 20s is such a drag, I had an old team at my last job that only had one other person my age. When she worked from home, I worked from home because it would've been boring to go into the office. Amazon skews a lot younger which is nice
Just leave.
Where are you commuting every day that takes 3 hours?
SF to San Jose?
You may discover that your new job is the same. People usually don’t socialize much because engineers are an introverted crowd...
Vancouver to Seattle ?
Leave. You’re more valuable than that.
3 hours commute one way or both ways
Both ways
still too long. You should start using that as a reason when looking for a new job. Also you should get a new job before leaving. You don’t know when is economy going to flop for real

Dude have three hrs commute. That's how long Microsoft people work at their peak in a day. Should have signed up for something else OP.
