Do they ask HARD questions for SDE2/3 Amzn or L5/L6 Googl positions ? Amazon new grad interviews are shit. I wanna raise my bar and shift companies.
I was asked Leetcode hard in bar raiser in Amazon for SDE-2 but not in earlier rounds.
Sometimes
Fukken wreck those kids. I ask them open problems and force them to solve it.
I was interviewed for Google L5 and Amazon L5 2 months ago. So here are a few questions i was asked and I found really interesting, they’re new but definitely not hard questions. - find the greatest number of edges in a DAG with proof. It’s not even a coding question - design BiliBili: a video-sharing website where user can submit, view and add overlaid commentary on video - wordle (trie & dfs)
Did it edge into suffix trees or is prefix tree enough?
All of my L5 questions at Amazon were LC Hards
All the time
My Amazon questions (years ago) for L6 were: - create an algorithm to search for parking spots - bomberman style flood fill - solve boggle - architect Alexa voice requests - behavioral - I know there was more but I forget I don’t think any of that maps to LC hard. Imo interviews are random, and what you get asked depends on how your loop is scheduled and who you get.
My Amazon interview was a pleasant experience. No unreasonably hard questions and good discussions. I was pleasantly surprised 😅
Just had a modified leetcode hard problem for a virtual onsite (Amazon SDE II) yesterday as the 4th of 4 interviews. luckily had 15 whole minutes to come up with the optimal solution after 45 minutes of LP questions! interviewer was pushing me to give the optimal solution only but I was pushing to just get a correct answer. don't do that if you would rather get a job offer than be right 🙃
Yes, they absolutely do
