How does HackerRank compare to Leetcode for practice for New Grad position interviews? According to their job posting, LinkedIn uses a HackerRank challenge for interns. Is HackerRank used as an evaluation tool at other companies? If so, for full time positions? I've only seen leetcode thrown around here... what's the deal with HackerRank? Thanks!
Hackerrank is relatively trashy compared to leetcode. Leetcode generally tests you on algorithms and concepts. Half of the times, codes on hackerrank do not pass because of weird number overflows – something that doesn't have anything to do with the logic. Hackerrank is used by companies like JPM
Morgan Stanley also uses hacker rank. They have acid road offering similar to google docs. Hacker rank can be a good tool to test candidates, though precanned questions are not great. Hacker rank is not god for practicing. LeetCode is leading or maybe even created the the whole field of code prep with gamification, company tagging, discussions, possible answers and so much more.
Just do leetcode - it’s sufficient. HackerRank isn’t much different but I would guess leetcode has a lot more probs, resources, bigger user base
They're comparable in difficulty but hackerrank's platform has horrible UX/DX ime
They’re both garbage
What do you suggest?
LC questions focus more on core CS fundamentals and the LC community is more helpful too. It’s much easier to study given the structure of solutions and posts in LC as well. Hackerank is more used by companies to test you but the concepts they will test you on are the same as in LC, it’s good to get familiar with it but overall their platform and problems are less of a concern than their business, hence the shitty product.
I feel the same : hacker rank tries to be a applicant testing side for enterprises, which it manages to some extent.
Fuck hackerrank
fuck hackerrank
Lmfao. 😂😂 Interesting...do say more. 😎
