Has anyone used the levels.fyi negotiations package? They offer fixed and percent based. If anyone has bought any can they shed light on if it's worth it and when we should buy them? TC:- 250k YOE -6yrs
Most engineers(including me) are bad negotiators. Even a moderate statergy can increase your comp by at 20-30k(thats for new grads) for senior+ easily 50k+. Do the math.
So are you suggesting to take this?
Is it possible to negotiate yourself, and then take the negotiated offer to levels support and see if they can further negotiate it? Don’t they have a guaranteed cash back if your offer doesn’t increase? Doing this would guarantee that you get more using their support than you yourself could negotiate, so it would be money well spent.
In their terms & service I think they have changed the wording. Now they don't guarantee a comp increase. I went with their 550$ service..let's see how it is. I wil post a review here.
Oh please do. I am super curious. Can you take the already negotiated offer to them or do they expect they start the negotiating process, in which case I find BS btw
I am also not sure if the people voting no have actually tried the service?
People here like to think they are expert negotiators. The truth is a bespoke service can increase TC by a huge amount (I’ve seen +40-50% on top of already good offers). Now, I don’t know if levels offers that good of a service but it never hurts to have more information.
Thank you. Are there other services other than levels fyi that you prefer?
It was helpful for me because I knew what to say but I wasn't sure HOW to say it. Everybody's gangsta until you are in the phone with the recruiter lowballing you and making empty promises. In retrospective you think nah this was not worth it I could have done that but yet you didn't lol. I wouldn't pay for this service again as now I have a set of "templates" I am comfortable with and can reuse again. Learning to say no and avoid disclosing information I early stages is a skill.
Base salary|stocks grants | Bonus anyone know what this bonus really mean? Is this signon bonus or the yearly target bonus
I used it for my current job and can say with certainty that I would not have been able to do as well without it. The cost pays itself off in weeks.
I feel like you could pay a good friend A steak dinner to do this For you
