Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
What’s life like at apple in ops and supply chain team - OPM, PQM, EPM, AME etc? TC 240K, 2 YOE #hardware #semiconductor
Are you in Amazon Supply chain? 2 YOE with 240k that’s mid to high L6 pay
There are hardware development engineers in ops and supply chain org and it’s a technical role. I’m in advanced manufacturing team and internal job title is HDE II. We do get paid a lot.
Very bad work life balance, almost non existent. Depends on which product though.
What do you work for?
Probably for money like a lot of us
The WLB is improving, but not great.
What role are you in?
Apple, Can I have referral?
Terrible would not advise. That’s why I left
Oh how’s it Google? What were you doing in apple?
There is no life basically :(
Tc?
Definitely not a good org. I was there prior to my current job. No wlb or job satisfaction.
Curious, what do you currently do?
Camera design for pixel teams
No life. You’re worked like crazyyyyyyy
One word: bad! But you learn a lot, work with a lot of smart and motivated people. If you can power through 1.5 years or more, you would get a huge career and experience boost, it’s almost like a bootcamp.
Agree with everything
What do you do there?
If WLB is important to you, then maybe you should look somewhere else. Good place for younger engineers to jump start a career and learn from the best though.
There should be almost no young engineers there. Thats one of the reasons they work days and nights because stupid management count bodies but not your experience. You will spend 3 days with no sleep on what someone can do in few hours, just because its cheaper and no one cares. Work smart is absolutely not about apple. Worse company I ever worked so far with 20yrs of exp. they hire young, squeeze them and then take next. This is reactive investment, not proactive. I am still amazed how they are capable of doing excellent products though
If that’s your view of Apple, don’t ever even go anywhere close to Tesla, haha.
busy as hell I guess
Tc?
I was applying for some entry level positions for Software Engineer at Apple. Could you please give me a referral?
