I am talking with LI regarding a non-tech recruiting role. Any insight into the culture there specifically, on the non-tech recruiting teams? How is WLB? Is comp competitive? #linkedin #recruiting

If I were you don’t come. LinkedIn used to be a glorious place to work in recruiting. Now it’s a just a shit hole.
What has changed there that’s made it go downhill?
Diverse slates (basically being racist and not considering anyone who isn’t black or Hispanic and women). Req based model (not scalable). CJ being promoted to VP. I can go on but that can give you an idea.
I really appreciate your feedback, thank you!
Worked at LinkedIn as a contract recruiter for a few months back in 2019. I was pleasantly surprised at how inclusive the culture is despite being a larger company. They do a very good job of making you feel welcome while onboarding you. Work-life balance is one of the best, and the food was of course amazing (and I’ve eaten at a lot of companies) Their pay definitely isn’t as competitive though. I make twice as much in base pay at Apple. BUT I really feel like LinkedIn makes up for it in benefits, culture, and WLB. Depends on what you’re looking for. I left shortly right when Jeff Weiner was departing. Not sure how it is now after COVID and the huge layoff they did to recruiting and sales last year. A lot of my LinkedIn colleagues have left now, but a few stayed or came back. They’re hiring like crazy now, so I say check them out at least and see what happens. I’ll always recommend LinkedIn to anyone who asks :)
Thank you so much for sharing your impressions! This is very helpful !
Comp - 60th percentile of market, WLB - best in market, culture - hope you love sourcing for diversity.
I really appreciate this feedback. Thank you!
Are most recruiters working remotely for the foreseeable future or will you be expected to return to the office?
