I have an onsite scheduled soon with four rounds: 1. Coding & Algos (1hr) 2. Host Manager (1hr) Lunch (30 min) 3. Mobile Coding (1hr) 4. Mobile Software Design & Architecture (1hr 15m) I understand how to approach the other rounds but could anyone who has gone thru the mobile architecture round give me some pointers on what its like? How can I best prepare? #tech #linkedin #interview #on-site

Thanks! I had my interview with the team and got an offer as a result. The resource you shared was extremely helpful in the mobile architecture interview! Overall, I'd say do the Blind 75 and then LC tagged questions. The question I got was very low in the tagged list so you can't rely on it completely. For the mobile project, they'll give you a lot of requirements to adhere. It is impossible for you to complete all of them in the time provided. They don't expect you complete everything though so that's good. My advice here would be to explain your overall design first and then implement pieces here and there. Don't waste time trying to perfect the project, make use of comments and pseudocode wherever possible. Explain your process as you go. Good luck!
Mind sharing what System Design question you got for this interview? if you don't wish to share specifics, mind just telling if the question was related to one of LinkedIn features or it was something completely unrelated?

What is mobile coding round ???
In mobile coding round, they give you a simple codebase to work with. Then they ask you to build some simple features. They see your system design skills in actual implementation, your coding skills and domain/framework/tools knowledge. Not sure about linkedin, but that's how it's at spotify
Accurate summation above ^ Here's what the brochure tells us: "The focus is to build a small sample application from scratch. The interviewer will email you a project template that has some code to help you get started. At the start of the interview, you will be instructed to share your screen on Zoom so the interviewer can see your work."
