When you're Principal you likely don't give a fuck about career because you've made it pretty far already. I mean if you did care deeply you wouldn't be at LinkedIn, right?

Well, you would know, Mr Nielsen. Fewer kids being born. Fewer traditional relationships in which to produce such kids too. Aging population with shifting demographics.

LI staff+ is underpaid. Principal is top 1% engr, and their reputations in company is somehow Google distinguished.
I realize “the market” may say that this is underpaid, but I can’t help but think that TC in this range is absurd for any engineer. The market is just ridiculous.
